We
have couple of clients that still use monochrome monitors and
dos as the operating system, which is great. It works, and that's
what counts.
The
problem comes in when they try to connect to the internet and
things are a bit slow say the least. Simply put, I'm running
out of friends that still use a dial up service to access the
internet, everyone has some type of high speed connection and
things are and will get a lot faster.
In
my personal opinion, I don't think the two companies in question
will last more then 10 years. It's not that they don't do a
good job or don't know how to run a business.
the
economy is changing. people are changing. Their buying habits
are a lot more diversified and they are a lot more educated
about what they buy. Guess where all this wonderful information
comes from? Well, it's not the TV.
To
be on the net, you have to upgrade and you have to do it often.
It's
not expensive, just necessary.
